Strix Shop collects personal information that you provide when creating an account. This includes:
- Identity Data: Full name, Date of Birth, Age, Gender, and Preferred Pronouns.
- Contact Data: Email address and Backup Recovery Email.
- Academic Data: Grade level and school affiliation.
- Security Data: Username, encrypted Passwords, and Security Question answers.
- Profile Data: Profile picture links, usernames, etc.
When you create a password with Strix Shop, it is protected by Google Firebase. Therefore, Strix Shop
has no access to your password. If you would like to change your password, please contact Customer Support.
We use your data strictly for the operation of Strix Shop. Specifically:
- To process orders and manage your account.
- To verify your identity for transactions.
- To facilitate account recovery through security questions.
- To personalize your experience.
We do not and will not sell your information to third-parties, unless required by applicable law.
Strix Shop utilizes Google Firebase for secure
data storage and authentication.
While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of digital storage is 100% secure,
although we try and keep this online portal as secure as possible. By using the portal, you acknowledge
this inherent risk.
Strix Shop does not sell, trade, or rent student data to third parties.
We only share information with third parties when:
- Required by federal or state law (e.g., a court order).
- Necessary to complete a delivery (sharing your name/homeroom with a Strix delivery member).
- Required to prevent fraud or protect the safety of Strix Shop, Strix or other customers.
As per our Terms, users under 13 are prohibited from account creation.
We encourage parents to monitor their child's digital interaction with Strix Shop.
Our web portal may use local storage or "necessary cookies" to keep you logged in and remember your cart items.
We use the minimum amount of necessary cookies to protect your privacy.
Strix Shop may display advertisements, promotions, announcements, or sponsored content.
These advertisements are displayed generally and are not personalized based on user behavior,
browsing history, or personal information.
We do not use tracking cookies for external advertising purposes.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but nearly all features of the Shop may stop functioning.
We retain your information as long as your account is active.
If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you must contact Customer Support.
Please mote that data related to unpaid balances or legal disputes will be retained until the issue is resolved.
Strix Shop reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, with or without notice, with or without cause.
Any changes will be posted here. Continued use of the portal after changes take effect constitutes your agreement to the new policy.
